Will Hinckley's new bike be a beefier Street Scrambler or a whole new machine?

Get ready to hit the dirt; Triumph Motorcycles has just released a teaser video for its next scrambler model, the all-new 2019 Scrambler 1200. Triumph calls it, “The first, the best, and most exciting on every level. A new riding revolution starts here.” With October 24, 2018, time-stamped in the beginning of the video, it’s probably safe to assume that’s the model reveal date.
On its website, Triumph goes on to say the model is a “Triumph modern classic…set to create a riding revolution with a whole new benchmark for what makes a scrambler great,” while also mentioning the bike will have “never-before-seen levels of dual-purpose capability.” The bike is being touted as a full-on scrambler that claims to be as “amazing off road as it is on the road, doing everything an adventure bike can, and all with authentic scrambler style and attitude.”
It’s great to see Triumph finally building on its smaller 900cc Street Scrambler considering it arguably kickstarted the current street scrambler craze back in 2006. We had great fun on that model when we last rode it, and are pretty psyched to check out the new design. We’re also curious to see how Triumph’s newest scrambler will stack up against the Indian FTR1200; judging from the teaser copy, this new model be more dirt-biased than its Street sibling.
But other than knobbies, a skid plate, and a robust fork, there's not much else we can really pick out on this new 1200 teaser video. Nice illustration though! Either way, consider our interest piqued.
