The Porsche Panamera
is now 10 years old, and the brand new celebrates a decade of the
four-door model's existence by introducing the 10 Year Edition. The
special variant costs $104,650 (including $1,350 destination) for the
standard Panamera, $108,850 for the Panamera 4, and $118,250 for the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. They arrive in American showrooms in the first quarter of 2020.
Regardless
of which trim level a customer picks, the 10 Year Edition comes
with 21-inch Panamera Sport Design wheels in a White Gold Metallic satin
finish. The same color adorns the emblems on the interior and exterior,
in addition to the upholstery's contrasting stitching.
Porsche also loads the Panamera 10 Year Edition with extra equipment.
They ride on the brand's adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active
Suspension Management and Power Steering Plus. LED matrix headlights
with the company's Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus cornering lamps are
also part of this package. The expanded driver assistance features
include park assist with surround-view cameras, lane change assist, and
lane-keep assist. Heated 14-way seats, soft-close doors, and Bose
surround sound add to the interior's luxury.
Opting for
the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid 10 Year Edition also gets buyers the generally
optional 7.2-kilowatt onboard charger instead of the standard 3.6-kW
unit.
The Porsche Panamera premiered on April 19, 2009, at
the World Financial Center in Shanghai, China. The second generation
arrived in Berlin on June 28, 2016. The company has delivered over
250,000 of them since the original introduction.
Spy shots indicate that Porsche is now hard at work developing a refreshed Panamera. Judging by the images, the styling tweaks seem to be fairly minor. However, expect there to be powertrain and tech updates so that the model can remain competitive.
